Your Experience — Step by Step: 

5:30 AM — Hotel Pickup

Your driver picks you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech before sunrise. The drive to the launch site takes approximately 30 minutes.

6:15 AM — Watch the Balloon Inflate

Arrive at the launch site and watch the spectacular sight of the giant balloon being inflated in the early morning light, with the Atlas Mountains glowing in the background.

6:30 AM — Welcome Drinks

Enjoy warm tea and coffee while your pilot briefs the group and the balloon is prepared for flight.

7:00 AM — Take Off

Rise gently into the sky as the sun crests the horizon. Float silently above palm groves, Berber villages, patchwork fields, and the vast Agafay Desert plateau — with the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains dominating the horizon.

7:45–8:00 AM — Landing

Your pilot guides the balloon to a smooth landing in the open desert.

8:15 AM — Berber Breakfast

Celebrate your flight with a traditional Moroccan Berber breakfast served in a desert tent — freshly baked bread, honey, olive oil, amlou (almond paste), msemen pancakes, and sweet mint tea.

9:30 AM — Return to Marrakech

Your driver returns you to your hotel, arriving back before 10:00 AM — leaving the rest of your day completely free.

Best Time of Year for a Balloon Ride in Marrakech :

The hot air balloon operates year-round, but the best conditions are from October to April when the sky is clearest, temperatures are pleasant, and the Atlas Mountains are often snow-capped — creating a spectacular backdrop.

In summer (June–August), flights still operate but the landscape is drier and temperatures rise quickly after sunrise.
